Rigàtteri

From a long tradition of grape growing which started when great-grandfather Angelo followed the odyssey of migration which arrived in Sardinia in the early thirties, then continued by his grandfather and father, was the desire of the brothers who founded the "cellar Rigàtteri "to enhance the culture, experience and share the secrets of the family completing the cycle of viticulture with wine-making.

The vineyards are located close to agricultural land shown on the cadastral sheets with the name of Reigatile. It was near a "nuraghe", a well that great-grandfather and great grandmother Angelo Ardelia used for water supplies for themselves and their livestock.
In an effort to correctly pronounce the words of the Sardinian language, the grandparents' translation of the "Italian" word Reigatile became Rigàtteri.
Our father was often sent to fetch water or bring water to the cows at the well of "Rigàtteri" and discover the correct definition only when it was already great, but in his memory and his heart was the memory of the well Rigàtteri .
